Composite veneers

Unlike porcelain veneers, composite veneers usually don’t require any alterations to your existing teeth. The lack of preparatory work means that some patients will favour them. They don’t tend to last as long as porcelain veneers, but they require fewer extensive repairs or replacements if one chips.

Porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers tend to last longer than composite. As a stain-resistant option, they’re also the more expensive choice. However, their translucent quality also means they’re more likely to mimic the appearance of natural teeth, leaving our patients delighted with the results. In both instances, we can create porcelain veneers and composite veneers that look like your natural teeth. As a result, you’ll complement your natural aesthetic.

A gorgeous solution that suits most people

As a non-surgical procedure, veneers are suitable for most of our patients. However, we do need to make sure your oral health is good before we carry out any work. If we find that you have existing gum disease or you require a filling on one of the target teeth, we’ll need to proceed with those treatments before placing your veneers. In some cases, your veneers will be placed over the course of one or two appointments. This depends on the type you choose, though. If you want porcelain veneers, we’ll need to take an impression of your teeth, send it to the lab, and carry out some prep work. We can provide temporary solutions until your new veneers arrive so you don’t need to worry about hiding your existing smile.
