About Opal Dental
Opal Dental(formerly known as Anthony Wong Dental) is a family orientated dental practice that has served Te Atatu and its surroundings for over 40 years. Dr. Charlene Borges (BDS, Otago) and Dr. Anthony Wong (BDS, Otago) have a combined experience of over 40 years.
The team provides accurate, tailored and long-lasting dental and oral care by using the most modern materials and equipment, all in a bright and refreshing clinic.
Dr. Charlene Borges combines her calm and gentle manner with providing the most long-lasting aesthetic treatment for her patients.
Dr. Anthony Wong is a well-known dental professional in the area and continues to provide patients with the highest quality of care. He speaks both English and Cantonese.
Both dentists undergo regular continuing education and, together with their friendly team, make the visit to the dentist stress-free, thorough and comfortable. They enjoy providing the latest treatment options for patients with the most professional service possible.

Like many, I don't like going to dentists, but finally I have found Opal Dental. They are very caring, from the dentists to all of the staff. The prices are very reasonable too. The thing I like most is that they truly care about you. They are knowledgeable and will do the very best for you. If I ever move from here I will continue to use Opal Dental, wherever I am!

Experienced and friendly staff. Went with severe pain and did not suggest for root canal and suggested for extraction. I went for it and pain gone. Lot of dentists suggests directly for root canal without any research and findings, thank god and bless this staff🙏

Huge thanks to Opal Dental! The staff are friendly, understanding, and reassuring throughout. After a traumatic past experience (at a different dentist) I was really anxious 😅 but I felt safe and cared for. For the first time, I’ll be returning for further work and without fear.

Everyone there are amazing I went for my appointment today and from the receptionist to the staff everyone was so lovely friendly and caring I have major anxiety from being at dentist as a kid and I actually really enjoyed Going there. Thankyou Everyone at Opal!!

Everyone at Opal Dental are top notch! Charlene is an incredible dentist and is all about the detail, which is important when you are getting invisalign. Super happy with my results! The reception staff and nursing team are also just as great and are always friendly and helpful. Grateful to have such a great local dentist for my own and my families dental needs.
